About DaYii

The DataKirk Youth Internship Initiative (DaYii) is a youth-led social action and internship programme designed to unlock the talents of Scottish Black children and young people (SBCYP) aged 14–22. Delivered by The DataKirk in partnership with BBC Children in Need We Move Fund and founded in 2023, DaYii is about more than work experience — it’s a transformative journey that empowers young people to lead, build confidence, develop vital skills and shape their future.
